Statistics project
Family Statistics
Family Statistics turns selected Gramps data into a clean web report that can be viewed locally or published alongside a family history website.
Why this project exists
Family Statistics creates a web-based overview of selected genealogy statistics from a Gramps family tree.
Instead of keeping the information only inside Gramps, the project turns four exported HTML reports into a single
statistics.json
file. The included web page then presents the results in four sections:
On this day
,
Counts
,
Age
and
Names
.
The report can be viewed locally or published alongside a private family history website.
Important: Gramps must be running in English when the reports are created. For reports with date fields, use YYYY-MM-DD (ISO) . The parser relies on specific English report headings, and the Birthday and Anniversary Report uses English month names.
